A SPANISH LAWYER FOR AN INTERNATIONAL MOVE

Legal advice without the traditional law-firm fog.

OleXpat is the English-language practice of a Spanish licensed lawyer based in Madrid. It exists for one reason: moving to Spain means dealing with Spanish immigration paperwork — and that paperwork is hard enough without having to decode it in a second language.

Most people arriving in Spain face the same wall: forms in Spanish, requirements that change depending on your nationality and your route, and advice scattered across forums that contradicts itself. Traditional law firms can help — but the experience is often opaque: unclear fees, layers of staff between you and the lawyer, and explanations written for other lawyers.

OleXpat was built as the opposite of that. A small, lawyer-led practice where the person you write to is the person who prepares your application — in plain English, with the scope and the fee agreed before the work begins.

It is deliberately small. There is no “global team”, no “immigration department”, no network of offices. What there is: a licensed Spanish lawyer, working directly with you, on a practice built around international moves to Spain.

THE LAWYER BEHIND OLEXPAT

A Spanish lawyer for an international move.

OleXpat is built around direct legal advice. You deal with the lawyer responsible for understanding your case, defining the scope of the work and guiding the legal process.

HOW I WORK

Clear scope. Clear fees. Direct communication.

Immigration and relocation involve enough uncertainty already. Legal work should reduce it, not add to it.

HOW IT WORKS

Six working principles, applied to every case.

  1. Direct communication

You deal with the lawyer who handles your case — directly, by email and call. No account managers, no intake queues, no intermediaries between you and the person doing the legal work.

  2. Clear scope

Before any work starts, you know what is included, what is not and what it costs. The scope is agreed in writing, so there are no surprises halfway through an application.

  3. Digital workflow

Documents, checklists and updates move by email and secure digital channels. You do not need to be in Madrid — or in Spain — to move your case forward.

  4. Pricing upfront

Fees are published on the pricing page before you ever write to us. Fixed packages where the work allows it, an honest explanation of what a "from" price depends on where it does not.

  5. Plain English, no jargon

Spanish immigration law has its own vocabulary — NIE, TIE, empadronamiento, resolución. You get explanations in plain English, and the Spanish terms only where the administration actually uses them.

  6. Honest referrals

If your matter falls outside what OleXpat handles — a tax question, a criminal matter, litigation — you are told so and pointed towards the right kind of professional, instead of being kept on the hook.

WHAT OLEXPAT HANDLES

Immigration routes, relocation and property — with published fees.

Residence routes for remote workers, non-working residents, EU citizens, families and employees; corporate relocation for companies moving people to Spain; and legal support around renting and buying property once you arrive. Every fee is published before you get in touch.

Not sure where your case fits?

Answer three questions for a first orientation, or go straight to a consultation with the lawyer if your situation is already complicated.
