PUBLISHED MOVE STORY · NOT AN OLEXPAT CLIENT

A family of four applying through a US business received an additional-document request. According to the applicant's published account, legal guidance helped them prepare the response before approval followed.

The application

A publicly reported applicant described applying for Spain's Digital Nomad route as a contractor working through a US LLC, together with a family of four.

After the initial filing, the authorities requested additional evidence, including proof of payments and further evidence of financial means.

The response

According to the applicant's account, their lawyer advised them on how to reinforce the evidence, including the financial documentation to provide and the use of sworn translations.

The family submitted the additional material. Approval followed shortly afterwards.

Why this story matters

A request for documents is not necessarily a refusal.

A requerimiento can be a critical procedural moment. The question is not simply whether you can send more documents, but what the authority is actually asking you to prove and how the new material should answer that point.

Good legal preparation cannot guarantee an outcome. It can, however, help organise the evidence, identify the problem being raised and make the response more precise.
